White Star Capital, a global technology investment firm, sought a workspace that reflected its brand values while enhancing team collaboration and productivity. Situated on the third floor of Lefebvre Court, the office design needed to marry professionalism with creativity, offering a welcoming space for both employees and visitors alike.
Through an in-depth design consultation, POS Interiors developed a vision that captured the essence of White Star's ethos. The aim was to create a dynamic office that would meet their operational needs while also fostering creativity and collaboration in a modern and inspiring environment.
Navigating the Challenges
Delivered to POS in a basic Cat A standard—with white suspended ceilings, LED light panels, and grey carpet—the task was to elevate the space to align with White Star's vision of innovation and sophistication.
The design needed to accommodate both in-office and remote working styles, providing flexibility for the team's varying schedules. Creating a collaborative environment was essential, ensuring that interaction and engagement were naturally encouraged when team members were in the office. Additionally, the entrance required a 'wow factor' that would leave a lasting impression on clients and visitors.
Balancing professionalism with casual, fun elements was crucial for fostering a dynamic atmosphere. At the same time, sustainability was a priority, with existing furniture being reused and waste minimised throughout the fit-out.
Crafting the Design
The design solution for White Star Capital was centred around creating a harmonious blend of workspaces, social areas, and collaborative zones. The open-plan area houses customised workstations, each enhanced with biophilic elements to foster a connection with nature. Private offices were also incorporated to offer quiet, focused spaces for key personnel, while the state-of-the-art boardroom serves as a hub for high-level meetings and presentations.
Design highlights included an exposed duct ceiling that was spray-painted in White Star's brand colours, complemented by bespoke acoustic and LED lighting features, enhancing the space's aesthetic and functionality. The office also boasts impressive views over St Peter Port Harbour, adding an inspiring backdrop to the workspace.
In addition to the workspaces, the design features a social hub in the kitchen, providing a place for informal discussions and casual breaks. Breakout spaces with soft seating add to the office's versatility, offering employees a space to relax or hold spontaneous conversations.
